Elysium is series of portraits taken in a park called the Place de la Concorde in Paris on a hot summer’s day in the middle of a European summer. I crept up behind and in front of young lovers, sunbathing friends and the elderly and captured them immersed in their own private space.

In Elysium, public parks act as a place where people seek privacy, calm or some isolation from where they have come from. Although in close proximity to each other they all appear to be the centre of their own universe.
